It’s A Selfie

For the past ten years I’ve been writing songs and tweaking the demos, the lyrics, the arrangements. It seemed impossible to finish due to heavy engagements producing others and playing in my band Holy Holy. This was a blessing in disguise because I’ve learned so much more in recent years working with David Bowie, Damon Albarn, Perry Farrell and Kristeen Young on their albums.

When I had decided on what songs made the final cut, the pressure was on to record them again with session musicians to make it sound ‘big’ and ‘produced.’ But if I did that, or even added just a live drummer, maybe another year would pass before I’d get that process finished! I didn’t do that, but I didn’t record completely by myself.

There are guest performances from Richie Cannata, Greg Holt, Jessica Lee Morgan, Lara Visconti, Kristeen Young (sampled), Daphne Guinness and Malcolm Doherty.

It’s A Selfie! Even the front cover was taken with a selfie stick.
